Our plumbers work in Oatlands from our Seven Hills base, carrying out repairs to bathrooms, kitchens and household water connections. Recent Oatlands jobs include removing a water-damaged wall-hung vanity, fitting a new semi-recessed basin after the original cracked and replacing a kitchen mixer when changing its cartridge didn’t solve the problem. You can see the before-and-after photographs from those actual properties below.
When a fitting leaks or fails, we’ll inspect what’s there, explain whether repair or replacement makes sense and give you a quote before further work. We arrange an arrival window when you book and answer calls 24 hours a day. There’s no separate Oatlands office and no promise of a fixed response time.
Recent plumbing work in Oatlands
August 2026: a leaking basin left a wall-hung vanity damaged. An Oatlands homeowner reported that water from a leaking basin had left the existing vanity swollen and affected by mould. We isolated the water and waste connections, removed the damaged wall-hung unit and took it off site. We then installed a new wall-hung vanity with basin top, mixer and plug-and-waste fitting, reconnected the plumbing and tested the connections for leaks. We sealed around the basin and cleaned the work area. The before-and-after photos show the old vanity and the replacement in the same bathroom; the photos don’t independently establish the cause of the moisture or any mould treatment.

September 2026: a cracked semi-recessed basin replaced. A second Oatlands customer had a large crack in a semi-recessed bathroom basin, making it unsuitable to keep using. We isolated the water supply, removed the damaged basin and supplied and installed a new semi-recessed basin with a new mixer and plug-and-waste assembly. Once everything was connected, we restored the water and checked for leaks, then tidied the work area. The before image clearly shows the crack in the original basin; the after image shows the new basin and mixer fitted into the existing bench and cabinetry.

August 2026: a kitchen mixer replaced after a cartridge repair failed. An Oatlands homeowner asked us to replace the cartridge in an existing kitchen sink mixer. We supplied a replacement cartridge, but the mixer still wasn’t operating correctly, so a full replacement became the practical option. We then supplied and installed a new kitchen sink mixer, tested it and cleaned up. One photo shows the old mixer with a cartridge removed during the unsuccessful repair attempt. The other shows the new mixer fitted at the sink; neither image independently proves the operational test.

Plumbing services for Oatlands homes
Damaged vanities and bathroom plumbing. Leaking connections beneath a basin can leave a vanity wet, swollen or stained over time. We check the fittings and accessible pipework, then discuss whether a simple repair is worthwhile or if the damaged vanity needs replacing. At an Oatlands home, replacing the cabinet, basin top and mixer resolved the owner’s immediate plumbing issue as reported, without claiming wider moisture or mould remediation. See our general plumbing services.
Cracked basins and tapware replacement. A cracked porcelain basin can be difficult to repair reliably, especially if the crack runs through the bowl. We can assess the damaged fixture and quote a suitable replacement, including the basin waste and taps when needed. A semi-recessed replacement needs to suit the existing bench opening and pipe connections. Our Oatlands basin job retained the surrounding vanity cabinetry while the basin and mixer were changed.
Kitchen mixer faults and cartridge repairs. A dripping or poorly operating mixer may need a cartridge or seal, depending on the model and availability of suitable parts. If the new cartridge doesn’t fix the problem, we can explain the alternatives before going further. Our August Oatlands job progressed from a failed cartridge repair to a whole-mixer replacement. We’ll show you what needs approval before buying extra fittings.
Leak detection and hidden pipe problems. Sometimes the moisture visible around a vanity is a symptom of a failed mixer, waste fitting or supply connection, while other leaks are hidden in a wall or floor. We check the accessible items first and discuss extra investigation if the cause isn’t clear. If the issue continues after a fixture is repaired, further testing may be appropriate. Read about leak detection.
Toilets, hot water and blocked drains. We also attend running toilets, faulty hot water systems, blocked drains and everyday maintenance across Sydney. These services are assessed and quoted according to the problem and equipment required. If water is overflowing or a blockage is affecting multiple fixtures, stop using them if safe and call for advice. Oatlands plumbing questions
Yes, we can inspect the accessible plumbing and quote replacement where the existing vanity is too damaged to keep. At an Oatlands home we removed a swollen wall-hung cabinet and fitted a new vanity, basin top and mixer. We also reconnected the waste and supply and checked for leaks. Any hidden water damage or professional mould work would need separate assessment.
Often a replacement basin can be installed into an existing benchtop opening, provided the measurements and fittings suit. At an Oatlands property we removed a badly cracked basin and installed a new semi-recessed unit with a mixer and waste. The surrounding vanity remained in place. We’ll check compatibility before quoting the replacement.
Yes, our team can quote the basin, mixer and waste fittings required for a repair or replacement. We check how the existing plumbing connects before recommending a suitable arrangement. For the Oatlands cracked-basin job, we supplied and installed the new mixer together with the basin. We then checked the connections once the water was restored.
A cartridge may not solve a fault involving other internal components, or the mixer may no longer be worth repairing. In one Oatlands kitchen we tried a replacement cartridge, but the original tap remained faulty. We discussed the next step and installed a new sink mixer instead. The finished photo shows the replacement, not a successful cartridge-only repair.
After an approved installation, we restore the water and check the relevant connections as part of the work. The owner reports that all three Oatlands repairs described here were tested after installation. Photographs alone don’t prove a water-on test, so we do not describe them as pressure-test certificates. If a later fault appears, contact us with the details for assessment.
The advertised weekday call-out is $0, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, excluding public holidays. That includes a basic initial hand-tools assessment and an upfront quote. Materials, replacement fittings and further work are quoted separately for approval.
Our phones are answered 24 hours a day, including nights and weekends. An after-hours attendance fee of $275 to $385 including GST applies, with the exact figure confirmed before dispatch. Any additional repair work is quoted separately at normal rates without an extra after-hours loading.
Call 1300 301 354 or request an appointment online. Tell us which fitting is leaking or damaged, and photos may help explain the issue before attendance. We’ll arrange an available arrival window and discuss the quote process. The eligible $50 online offer applies only after you accept the resulting quote and meet its conditions.
