Below you’ll find three ways to hammer out this DIY fix it all on your own, and if you aren’t able to clear the Blocked Shower Drains then simply pick up the phone, give us a ring, and we will take care of everything for you!

    Boiling Hot Water

Pouring hot water – Boiling Hot Water- slowly down your drain, just a little bit at a time can sometimes be enough to clear up,

break down and dissolve whatever it is that is causing you shower drain to block in the first place.

You may need to pour down a few kettles of hot water to get the job done.

Pour that water directly to the drain slow enough for it to work its way down without cooling down, but this effective tactic can sometimes be more than enough to handle most of the simple issues you’re dealing with.

Mix some Vinegar and Baking Soda to flush down your shower system

This classic trick is bound to soften and push through whatever is causing your blockage within the drain.

It is also common for showers to get blocked with hair.

This “Fizz” can help you solve any of your plumbing issues.

To try this, you’ll have to mix a third of a cup of baking soda with a third of a cup of vinegar in a bowl (adding the vinegar to the baking soda and not vice versa),

and as soon as it starts to fizz and – almost instantly – dump the mixture down the drain. This should clear a basic clogged shower drain.

Hook onto the obstruction with a coat hanger

If either of the above two solutions doesn’t work, you can try to unblock the pipe by straightening a coat hanger, fishing it down your plumbing drain in the shower and hoping it is going to be enough to clear Blocked Shower Drains by hooking itself onto whatever may be causing the blockage.
